Constructive Feedback is

  1. What Happened NOT what did you do?

  2. Focus on Behavior NOT personality

  3. Keep feedback neutral NOT Judgmental

  4. Use feedback to give Information NOT Advice

  5. Focus on the Future NOT the Past  >>>

  6. Watch for Body Language (yours and theirs!)

  7. If you dish it out expect to get it back!

When you discipline:

  1. Allow the person to maintain their self-esteem

  2. Remember their learning style preference

  3. Give positive feedback first in a 4:1 ratio
