The Tao of Self-Improvement

  1. YIN (passive, accepting side). Accept the Reality: Your real power begins on the inside, with self-awareness and self-acceptance. Accept your incompleteness to become more complete; if you cannot change things, change your attitude; never lament what you cannot have; truly accept that you have enough of everything.

  2. YANG (active, aggressive side). Make Change: Your real power is in staying soft, flexible, vital, creative, and ready to adapt. Be a disciple of life – be soft and flexible, not a disciple of death – stiff and inflexible; see external change as an opportunity for self-improvement; make use of whatever happens.

Do You Know How to Achieve Extraordinary Results?

Yourself is the most critical variable of your happiness, success in achieving what you want. You can't control people or events, but you can manage your response to them. Your skill and our ability to manage yourself directly affect the extent to which you achieve your goals.

The Wheel of Personal Success

Discover Yourself

"The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover will be yourself." – Alan Alda

Recognize Your Beliefs and Values

Beliefs are the assumptions you make about yourselves, about others in the world and about how you expect things to be. These assumptions are often based on emotions rather than facts They determine the way you behave and shape your decision-making process.  You tend to notice 'facts' that reinforce your beliefs.

The Power of Passion

Successful people win because they love what they do. All of them have a very strong desire to succeed. They have passion for their field, their business.

Passion is the single fastest way to spur yourself to massive success. It is something you love. Something you're excited about. Something you get up early to work on or to stay up late.

Be Different and Make a Difference!

What Is Your Personal Development Program?

Personal development techniques can be used both personally and professionally. They will help you:

  • achieve the results that you really want by gaining the ability of setting goals that are compelling and that have a momentum on their own

  • develop your relationships building skills by learning how to feel comfortable with others, so creating a climate of influence

  • resolve conflicts either with yourself or with others by reconciling different and seemingly opposite points of view to find a solution that integrates both in innovative and empowering way.

  • become a visionary leader by mastering a style of communication that is so compelling and motivating using language that is so enriched that it inspires others to be a part of that vision.

Do You Know Yourself Well Enough?

Great leaders, coaches and communicators don't focus extremely on their followers, coachees (players), and audience. They have a high degree of self-awareness. We all have basic skills to lead, coach, or communicate; unfortunately, most of us have a few psychological blocks when it comes to applying those skills well and consistently. Knowing yourself will help you overcome your own blocks and turn problems into opportunities.

The Serenity Prayer

"God grant me the serenity to accept what cannot be changed, courage to change what should be changed, and wisdom to know the one from the other."
